Moogie`s BBQ in Cookeville

We love Moogie's wings. Definitely a favorite local joint. Try the fried pickle spears, they're amazing!

Kinda pricey but everything is freshly made. Ribs fall off the bones. Wings arent as spicey as I hoped for.

The food is fine but not the best BBQ in Cookeville. The prices seem a little high for me in comparison to the other BBQ spots in town that have far better food. I’m a BBQ lover so it’s all about the sauce for me and a good cole slaw is a must for any BBQ joint. I’m not a huge fan of getting BBQ at a takeout window either so maybe this place is just not my style. My husband loves it but he loves beef BBQ and I am strictly a Pork or Chicken fan.

The best smoked wings I have ever eaten. The ribs were really good too. The rib and wing combo is very reasonably priced!

Very cozy and deceiving place. Once you see the menu a very pleasant surprise. Never had a bad meal and they make you feel like family. Live in NC and this BBQ/whole menu top notch!Highly recommended!

Liked the ribs and chicken, but they go light on the sides. A double order should be a single side

Best wings in town!

The ribs are less than average, blue pigs have best ribs ever. I didn’t like the sweet potato fries were undercooked and too sweet with the sugar seasoning. Potato salad was okay. I will try the smoke wings next.

Ribs, Buffalo Shrimp and Fried Pickles are the best.

My first visit was even better than I expected. The wings are grilled crisp on the outside just like I like them and the sauce added just enough flavoring without overwhelming the flavor of the chicken. The ribs were very savory. The dining area is cozy and the service friendly and accommodating.

Probably one of the best loaded baked potatoes you'll ever have in your life. If you think I'm exaggerating, well I guess you'll just have to stop by and see for yourself. Their sweet tea is on point too.

FANTASTIC! Small indoor area mostly drive thru but ribs, pulled pork, and sweet corn nuggets were delicious! We've been unable to find a barbecue restaurant in Crossville but Cookeville has several and we were stuffed when we left. Service was fast and friendly and important to me, CLEAN!!

It was good, very little barbecue places serve pulled chicken around here. Loved the fried pickles. Also they have a drive thru.

This is a very nice establishment they have the best barbecue and all of Putnam county you will be treated with the utmost of respect and treated fairly anytime and every time you go there try they're loaded potato with pork it's simply divine

I Love Moogies!! For me they have became my favorite restaurant in Cookeville, and definitely favorite BBQ place. The staff here is Very friendly, curtious, fast, and they always remember how their regulars(me) order. Can't say enough good things about Moogies!!

Very good barbecue, moist and tender. The people working there didn't seem to want to be there. The sweet tea was strong to the point of being undrinkable. Bathroom is outside, across the parking lot.

Everytime I order from here, the food tastes better than the time before! The BBQ potato is delicious, and the corn nuggets are amazing! They have alot to choose from and I haven't found anything I don't like yet.. I give Moogies an easy 5+ stars

Edit: Changed it to 5 stars because there was different staff this time around and they were very nice. Moderately sized order was put together in less than 5 minutes so that was really great!Best Baked beans I've ever had! Highly highly recommend getting them. Got the Smoked ribs dinner and also a side of their vinegar coleslaw and onion rings, which were all really good! It's a 4 out of 5 because the staff seemed a bit groggy and unwelcoming but will totally go back for the food.

Really good barbecue. Interesting place to eat. Little cramp though.

Best BBQ quesadilla I've had

One of Cookeville's essential spots to try. The food is delicious. The service is always good, and I've never had a single issue when I've eaten here. I always try to go when I'm in Cookeville.

The loaded potato is great! Their wings are so delicious! The sweet tea is extra sweet just how we like it! Everything is made to order, so the drive through is a bit slow, but definitely worth the wait.

Holy cow, pig and chicken! We got a veritable FEAST for 35 bucks! Fantastic smoky bbq sauce, creamy potato salad and fabulous fried pickles. Definitely worth your time and money.

Great food, always love eating here. But rude service. We had a larger order and they were dead when we pulled in. She would roll her eyes and say she’s the only one working and kept asking if that was it after every thing when there was someone else working. Asking what company we were ordering for, which I don’t see why that matters. At one point she even said “this is a lot for a drive thru” when we’ve come through before and it’s never been a problem. Definitely unprofessional and we kept apologizing but she was just extremely rude from the get go before we even ordered.

First time visit and it was wonderful. Staff was friendly and willing to answer questions about menu items. I got a loaded baked potato and it was delicious. Had just the right amount of toppings on it !

It just was sub par bbq. Was nothing special IMO. The cashier was really nice though. Also we got a family pack.

The food there is always very good. They have a good menu to choose from. The people that work there are very friendly even though they are always busy. There is a drive thru if you don't have time to come in and eat. You can also call in ahead of time and place your order, then go pick it up.

Loved this place when I lived in the area. Stop by almost every time I'm back in town.

It was okay. Decent not amazing but not horrible. Most review of a staff Lady not completely friendly is true. Lady seemed to not enjoy her job or stuck up. She would roll her eyes at us while ordering. Maybe just how she is as a person....But like the saying goes how someone is with others is reflection of how they feel about themselves.

Meh... not what it used to be. It is okay, but a little boring and high priced for what it is. I miss the smoked catfish. The pulled pork sandwich was mediocre, but actually I thought the pulled chicken was better, surprisingly. The onion rings were sort of bland. The employees seemed kind of annoyed that I was there. Anyhow, it was decent, but I think I will try some competition before returning.

Thier food is good but I don't like how they put a bunch of Little pieces of onion in the chicken

Grilled pickles are huge and the wings are great portions and yummy

A really good BBQ joint. The have something called "The Moogie Burger" which is a burger topped with a house made BBQ and a slice of cheese. It is quite good for under 6$
